NanoSeptic Self Cleaning Surfaces provide valuable solutions during times when cleanliness and sanitation is critical. The visible component of NanoSeptic products should not be understated. People not only like knowing the safer places to touch because they can see them, they appreciate those in charge for implementing NanoSeptic in their facilities. It results in a “Halo” effect; meaning that when they see NanoSeptic, they assume the rest of the building is actually cleaner than those without NanoSeptic.
These products are safe and endorsed. Unlike traditional disinfectants and cleaners, these surfaces do not use poisons, heavy metals or chemicals, and nothing is released from the surface since the nano-crystals are molecularly bonded to the material. While no product can claim to completely prevent cross-contamination, anything you do to create cleaner and visible places for people to touch will have a positive impact. From self sanitizing door handles to self sanitizing films, NanoSeptic products can make your environment more safe and sanitary. Here are some suggested surfaces and applications that will provide the most impact for each type of industry:
Restaurants & Hotels – NanoSeptic materials not only cover the commonly used entrance and exit door handles, antimicrobial film can be used on all touch screens for self-service kiosks and tablets.
Airports, Bus Stations, & Trains – During these times of heightened concern about cleanliness, NanoSeptic surfaces provide another layer of safety and security in high-traffic areas for travelers and commuters.
Retail & Shopping – Nanoseptic surfaces help retailers prevent the spread of germs by keeping areas like door handles, changing rooms, checkout counters, and shopping carts clean.
Hospitals & Healthcare Facilities – The meaning of “clean” takes on a new level when it comes to hospitals, healthcare facilities, and dental practices. Patients can clearly see an added layer of clean with the NanoSeptic materials which can significantly improve the patient experience.
Schools & Educational Facilities – Schools and educational institutions have many doors and various surfaces that are touched by hundreds, if not thousands, of students and faculty every day. How does the NanoSeptic Surface work?
One of the components of the surface is a mineral nano-crystal which acts as a catalyst, charged by visible light. These nano-crystals create a continuous, powerful oxidation reaction. This oxidation reaction breaks down organic material into base components such as CO2. The surface also forms free radicals which act as an additional cleaning agent.
What do you mean by “self-cleaning”?
The surface continuously oxidizes organic contaminants at the microscopic level. Large scale contaminants must still be removed to allow the surface to do its job. This is similar to disinfectants, which require surfaces to be cleaned before the disinfectant can be effective.
How should I clean NanoSeptic surfaces?
NanoSeptic surfaces are not affected by traditional non-abrasive cleaners. We recommend wiping the surface with a microfiber cloth and water to remove large-scale contaminants. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning utensils which might compromise the NanoSeptic surface.
Can NanoSeptic surfaces be used on exterior doors?
All Facility TouchPoints can be used indoors or outside.
When does it start working and how long do NanoSeptic products last?
It starts working as soon as it’s applied to the surface. Product life is dependent on light but only wears out (becomes ineffective) by touch. How long it is exposed to light is irrelevant. We recommend replacing facility touch point skins every 90 days (quarterly); however, the virtual “90 day clock” does not start ticking once it’s applied. In some high traffic applications they may need to be replaced more often. Nothing expires, so the products’ shelf life is virtually unlimited. Product life is dependent on actual physical wear.
How do I know when to replace NanoSeptic surfaces?
The easiest rule to follow is to replace the skins quarterly and the other products annually. However, the print serves as a wear indicator, so if the text or graphics become worn or faded, it’s time to replace. Also, if the skins start to peel off, we recommend replacement to keep the touch point looking good.
Is this product effective against Covid-19?
Only EPA approved disinfectants can make claims related to killing germs and preventing the spread of pathogens. This is not something that NanoSeptic is allowed to claim. Unless you are an EPA registered disinfectant you can’t even share independent lab tests…and they’ve done a bunch. Their surfaces, which are non-toxic, completely oxidizes organic contaminants.
Can the NanoSeptic wraps be cut so It can be customized allowing it to be applied to any surface?
We do not recommend this but in some instances it might be unavoidable. We have clear sheets that have been cut to specific sizes for touch screens.
Has the effectiveness of NanoSeptic surfaces been verified?
During their R&D phase (supported by a $2 million dollar R&D Grant), an independent EPA/FDA-compliant lab, using international standard test protocols (JIS), verified NanoSeptic Self-Cleaning Surfaces. NanoSeptic has also been tested and verified in South Korea, Malaysia, and the Mid-East. And the visible component of their products should NOT be understated. People not only like knowing the safer places to touch because they can see them, they appreciate those in charge (commercial or government) implementing NanoSeptic in their facilities. It results in a known (market researched) “Halo” effect. Meaning: when they see NanoSeptic, they assume the rest of the building is actually cleaner than those without NanoSeptic. This is likely why so many Federal, State, and Local Government agencies, as well as major commercial companies like Google, GE, Kimberly Clark, Zebra Technologies, CBRE, Hines, Cushman and Wakefield, Credit Suisse, Ritz-Carlton, Trump Properties in NY, medical colleges, healthcare facilities, schools (both K-12 and Colleges), over 18 Federal Reserve Banks, 6 international pharmaceutical companies, along with multiple Fortune 200 companies, use NanoSeptic.
